This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our scholars really love to create using different art supplies! However, they only have art once a week! We really want them to be able to engage in building and creating in multiple ways!

Help me give my scholars some new art supplies, projects, paint, and legos so they can build and create new things.

Since we do not have a STEM or STREAM program in our school, we want to modify and create a mini one for classroom. Our scholars want to build buildings and car that we can incorporate in our curriculum for Social Studies, Reading, and Writing. This way they can recreate their community in a fun way using all different art supplies!

Our students need someone who really believe in them. My coteacher and I really believe in them and want them to succeed. Every SINGLE item on this list was created and chosen by our students. Donors Choose has so many amazing opportunities for our projects to receive double donations and what a great way for them to receive art supplies - and LEGOs of all things that they don't have at home. LEGOs give children endless possibilities to be able to create so many amazing structures. It also build their social and emotional skills as they have to plan, problem solve, and work together as a team to create. LEGOs also build on their tactile skills and spatial awareness. What a powerful way to introduce these concepts in a fun way for them! They get to "play" while learning.
