Art Supplies to Encourage Creativity and Self-Expression
Help me give my students new art supplies to replace the items that have been depleted over the years. We have run out of watercolors and oil pastels - these supplies will allow continued weekly art activities.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. We live in a small country town in a rural part of far Northern California.
My goal is for learning to be a fun and interactive experience for all students.
I strongly believe that children learn through play as it comes naturally to them and they soak up the concepts and strategies without even realizing they are learning!
Our classroom is a wonderful place to learn and grow. Our focus is on creating an atmosphere were students are encouraged to be creative, expressive, curious and kind. Your donation will help the students to learn about themselves and the world around them.
My Project
As a teacher I feel that artistic creativity and expression is critical to the development of young children. These supplies will allow my students to experience art on a weekly basis.
Recent studies have shown that art improves classroom behavior and helps children to regulate their emotions.
By providing watercolors, oils pastels, markers and glue sticks, my students will have opportunities to draw, paint and create their little hearts out.
The items requested will replace the supplies I have previously purchased and have been used to the point that we no longer have enough to go around for everyone in class.
