Mrs. Stampone from Buffalo NY is requesting art supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need pencils, crayons and markers to complete art assignments.

My students come from many different cultural backgrounds, and most are living in low income households. They are eager learners with high spirits and love the arts. Many kids have several siblings, cousins and grandparents that reside in the same home.
I teach kindergarten, second, fourth and seventh graders.
Each grade level has its own needs and topics to be covered for students to progress and move on to the next grade level. Our district does not have a large budget at all. Usually we receive enough funding to purchase some crayons and markers and a small amount of paper. Our kids go through these supplies quickly, and we often rely on donations and local organizations to help us meet their needs.
With your help, it is my hope that their art classroom can be filled with new materials for them to explore, exciting supplies and images to look at, and wonderful experiences that will make an impression on them. This is their only chance to establish a love for art, as it is no longer mandatory after they leave elementary school. Help spread the love!
My students need pencils to draw with as well as crayons and markers to add color. I go through so many pencils each day, my students do not have the means to supply their own art materials. Often times a student will need a pencil to use for the rest of the day to complete their school work so I allow them to take them as needed.
We have no markers or crayons, I am continuously purchasing these supplies myself and can no longer afford to.
They get broken or dropped, younger students pull the paper off and chew on them. We use them daily and therefore we need them constantly. We haven't had markers at all this year and are in need of a few packs to add detail and neatness to various projects requiring more than a crayon illustration.
Thank you all for your support for my students.
