Ms. Bowen from Lansing MI is requesting art supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students the tools they need to explore, experiment, and create. My students have not been able to work with clay. We need markers and crayons.

Art is the beauty, hope, and inspiration needed by the kids at my high-needs school.
For some of the students, this is the most freedom they will have all week.
Many live with one or both parents incarcerated. The majority have only ever met one parent. Others are the caretakers for their parent as well as younger siblings. Students ask to stay after school because the building is a welcome reprieve from the hardships, hunger, and struggle outside of these walls.
This year, I want my students to experience working with clay. This year, I want them to be able to use any color they desire, rather than looking for broken pieces at the bottom of the box of crayons. This year, all of my artists will inspire every teacher in my building with what they can do when they have the right tools.
Many of my students do not have crayons or markers at home.
This year, Art class will give them the chance to try it all! Please help my kids have crayons, markers, and clay - all of the squishy, messy, wonderful play that childhood should be.
