This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Most of the students in my school come from low income homes. This means most of my students fo not have school supplies.
My students live project based learning.
They love cresting posters and anchor charts. People come into my class and call them the artsy students because they love to draw and color. They love when I incorporate these opportunities into my lesson plans, but one big problem.... we don't have supplies!
My Project
My students will use these materials to complete assignments and meet their needs. They love to create, but we are limited on materials. My students are motivated to complete work, when they have a chance to show their artsy sides. They love scented markers as well and would love the opportunity to use them when completing projects.
My students get lost in creativity.
By having these materials, I know that they will enjoy doing many of the projects I have planned. They love to show off their talents, and I love to see it while they are working. Each of them are unique and have a lot to offer in group work. All we are missing are supplies!
