My students need general supplies for the classroom in order to complete their art projects. We need markers, hot glue guns, cloth to clean the tables, mod podge to coat our projects, etc.
I have an incredible group of art students in class. Some of my students come into art with little to no experience, while other students have been taking art since elementary. Regardless of their experience, all students are interested and excited to create art.
The goal of our class is to create engaging experiences in the art room and have students proudly say, "I did that!" The art program at our school is fairly new, but we want to experiment with all different media in order to create artworks that are meaningful and intriguing.
I want my students to walk away from my class discovering their own creative styles.
My Project
Sometimes in the art room we require a mix and match of supplies. We use the fibers to clean our tables in order to leave a clean are for the next class, we use the hooks to keep things organizes in the classroom like our dustpans and hallway passes, and we use up all of our sharpies. Because we handle the art room like a lab, sometimes the materials we need to keep our space clean, organized and safe are not thought of as traditional art materials.
Art supplies sometimes include household items, office supplies or building tools.
