Art Supplies for Little Hands
My students need supplies including storage bins and an electric pencil sharpener to restock our art and creativity center.
My Pre-K class is made up of 20 students from different backgrounds and levels. Most have limited access to technology at home. In addition, most students are learning English as a second language. My students come to school each day with smiling faces and are ready to learn!
These four and five year-old students are vibrant, inquisitive, and curious learners.
They are open to talking and learning about anything and everything. I love to see how they learn and watch as they make new discoveries.
My students really enjoy the Art and Creativity Center. Several students work there every day. We need to replenish supplies such as brushes, crayons, and Wikki Stix, so that children have a variety of materials to work with. We also need bins to store some of the materials.
In an age where we have to compete with technology, it is very rewarding to see students create authentic work using all sorts of materials, having the materials we need available facilitates the creative process for little minds.
Students enjoy creating "Masterpieces" to share both with their parents as well as with their peers. Art activities that tie into other areas of the curriculum are often the activities that have the most impact.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
