My students are full of curiosity, kindness and energy! They are engaged learners that love creating, building and exploring new ideas and materials. These kids are just starting their journey in education and are sponges when it comes to absorbing new things and learning. I have never had such a focused and enthusiastic class!
The students I teach are a diverse group of learners that are ready for new challenges!
Our school is located in Western Washington, just on the outskirts of Seattle. We serve students from four neighboring schools and are a fully Kindergarten campus.
The students in my class love learning and they have motivated me to become a stronger educator so I can fully meet their needs and instill a love of life-long learning!
"All children are born artists, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up." - Pablo Picasso
The materials and supplies I am requesting will support my students in growing their skills as artists.
The oil pastels will be used in a variety of art projects where students will learn about primary and secondary colors, blending and a new medium to create art with. The paint daubers will help my students build fine motor skills to strengthen the muscles in their hands. And finally, the trays will help students keep their art and supplies in a contained space.
Through the use of these materials my students will embody the Pablo Picasso quote, growing their skills as artists early on to help foster a life-long love of art.
