Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As an inner-city teacher, I know that my students will face many trials and tribulations, especially in the area that they reside. However, I want to provide them with the best education possible. I want them to have no excuses for not succeeding.
I hope that I can provide them with supplies and everything that they need to make it through 4 years of high school and graduation.
They are bright young men and women and I want to make sure that they stay on track towards a successful life.
100% of the students qualify for free lunch. Many are from fosters home, some are even homeless. I hope to help all of them to learn no matter what their circumstances.
My Project
My students are creative. I want them to create posters with catchy slogans that motivate and engage their peers. We will place them around the school and the topics will be anti-bullying, making good grades, suicide prevention, and no gun violence. They need painting supplies; that is why we need the Chromark kit and we need refills for the kit. They also need large poster boards. We need a little glue because the posters do not stick to certain surfaces and that particular glue peels off, so it won't leave a mark. I want them to be proud of their work and I want their peers to be inspired.
