Help me give my students these basic art supplies as due to the COVID-19 pandemic, are at home with many not having anything more than a pencil to create art with.
Hello folks! Let me tell you a bit about the school I work in and my amazing ART students. I teach in a small north country school that has about 90 students Prek-12. Annually, we have between 10 and 20 international students that come to stay with us for the year and receive an education. They provide our small rural district with diversity and allow us to impact students around the globe.
I have the unique experience as an art teacher that I get to watch my students develop from drawing beautiful scribbles on a page to creating unbelievably realistic and highly creative abstract art as they near graduation.
It is truly a blessing!
My Project
Many of my students only have a pencil and lined paper at home to continue to create art during this time of at-home instruction due to the pandemic.
These additional materials will help to put color into their world during these dark times.
They will allow my oldest students to continue to progress with their drawing skills and my youngest students to continue to paint, something they love to do!!!
I have designed specific lessons for students that are independent so as to not further tax their families while still allowing them to create and improve their creative & artistic skills.
These products will truly make a difference for my students especially those of lower-income who have no art materials at home to create with.
