I have twenty-five amazing students! I work at a Title I school. These energetic children are enthusiastic and motivated learners. My pupils have a unique variety of abilities, interests, and learning styles. In kindergarten, it is developmentally appropriate to have lessons where the kids have opportunities to interact hands-on and creatively. In kindergarten, we must focus on rigorous academics, free play, creativity, and developing fine and gross motor skills.
I hope to provide my students with the appropriate level of books to help each child progress at his or her optimal level of achievement.
My Project
I am requesting a variety of art supplies and books to supplement our classroom materials.
I have requested a new set of paint brushes.
Our current brushes are falling apart and probably around 15 years old. New brushes with fresh clean bristles will allow the children to perfect their detail. It is hard to get the "look you are going for" with a messed up brush. The variety of sizes will give the children creative options when painting.
The bottle caps, gems, stickers, and foam pieces will help add "glitz and glam" to a variety of art projects. I love having a collection of materials. This allows the children to explore art using a variety of mediums.
I have also asked for a variety of books for story time. The books I requested are "Wilfred", "Mother Bruce", "Be Quiet", "Wordy Birdy", and "Hotel Bruce". These are books by some of our favorite authors. Story-time is such a special time in the classroom. The children fall in love with reading, bond, and have fantastic discussions.
Thank you for taking the time to support our classroom.
