I teach high school Art in a high-need community in Kentucky. We currently attempt to function on a $100/year budget, which serves Visual Arts students as well as Art Club. Our imagination and creativity level greatly exceeds the allowance of our budget so we need YOUR help!
I would like to make an Art Rotation project involving two processes that I know my students would enjoy. The thing is, we've never tried these processes before, so we don't have any of the materials we need. I would like to purchase these supplies but what's left of my budget just won't cut it. I want to help them further develop their skills with these processes, but I need your help!
We need the basic supplies for working with the two processes of glass etching and wood burning. My students have done some research on these art processes and have expressed a lot of interest. I would love to help them learn about these processes but I just need the basic materials like etching kits, mirrors, wood burning tools, wooden plaques, etc. I want to continue to give them this kind of opportunity because those that pursue Art as a career will need a variety of experiences to prepare for their college classes. I want them to be able to think outside the box and have multiple media and process experiences under their belt so that they may perform better at that level. This project will allow them to learn and create something completely meaningful to them!
My kids are very excited about continuing to learn about these new process but they can't do it without you. Our budget isn't even enough to purchase the plaques, let alone the other needed items. By donating to this project you will make it possible for my students to build on their experience with new forms of Art that they have expressed very high interest in. Please help them get away from the humdrum of pencil drawings and learn about these awesome art processes! We need YOU!
