Art Speaks for the Non Verbal

Help me give my students a room full of sensory materials and art. The easel will be loved for independence, and the sensory items help them learn through touch and feel safe.

My Project

Art and sensory materials are key to working with special needs preschool students. Our job is for our students to feel safe first. We can then work on verbal and non verbal communication skills.

Sensory items helps students calm their bodies, and art is a great way for non verbal students to communicate.

Our students LOVE to create art work, and our room is lacking the a painting center and brushes for our little learners. Art opens up a world of language, and the students are so proud seeing what they created displayed in the classroom.
