Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. ~Pablo Picasso
My students are creative little kids who enjoy learning and being exposed to new things.
Our school has been striving to meet our API goal of 800 and has therefore made Language Arts and Math a priority. Arts and art education has slowly been disappearing due to the pressure and emphasis of state testing.
My Project
I would like to be able to provide my students with the opportunity to be creative and to just be able to paint. Sometimes students are not the best at academics but they have a hidden talent that is unfortunately not able to develop because of all the restraints that teachers have. Painting is liberating and something that small children should be given the opportunity to do.
Please help our students get exposed to art education.
With your donation I would be able to get them a 3 way art easel, paint, paper and aprons to give them the opportunity to paint at least twice a week. I want them to be allowed to express themselves and their imagination through painting. You donation will allow them to do more than just academics at school.
