Mrs. Aslan from Harrisburg PA is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students the best quality art education possible during virtual learning. The addition of a document camera to my teacher "toolkit" will give me the ability to demonstrate art techniques while on Zoom.

The students in my art classes at my school are talented, imaginative, creative individuals. Every day I am inspired by their resilience, hard work, and determination. Students who attend Harrisburg High School, an urban high school located in Central Pennsylvania, may face many challenges but in the classroom, my students are always eager to learn something new and create hand-on art projects.
Art gives students an opportunity to have a voice.
Every student who enters my art room has the potential to achieve success. Many of my students are actively involved in art projects beyond our regular art class. Many students choose to participate in other exciting art opportunities such as Harrisburg High School's mural initiative. The vision was to enhance the climate and culture of our school and to foster pride and a sense of community through the creation of student murals within the building.
I am lucky to teach such creative and inspired young artists!
The use of a document camera will allow me to create more robust art lessons during virtual learning or during a hybrid learning model. With a document camera, I will be able to record art demonstrations to upload for asynchronous learning or I will be able to live stream art demonstrations during synchronous Zoom class sessions. We will also be able to zoom in on details of artwork during class critiques. The possibilities are endless! The many functions of a document camera will restore a little piece of normalcy to our art classes.
