My students need 30 - 18" stools for seating in the art room. It would help my students to more efficiently utilize their work space in the art room and update some very dated furniture. Thanks!
I have been working as the sole art teacher at a Charter school for the past 18 years. We serve a population of 745 students at a K-8 Charter school.
We have a very diverse multicultural population including Asian, Arabic, Indian and African American students.
As the only art teacher for the past 18 year I have enjoyed the rare privilege of getting to know the students and watch them grow from year to year. It is something I appreciate more as time goes on. I am always amazed at our student’s ability to meet and often surpass the different creative challenges to create amazing works of art. When I see how beautiful our halls look I am amazed and it makes all the hard work worth it.
My Project
I am looking to update my very well used chairs in my art room with 30 new 18" stools for my students to sit. These stools would make a big difference in the way students are able to work and maneuver around the art room.
We have a very small art room.
It is approximately 30 square feet for all grades kindergarten thru eight. Each class has approximately 28 students that rotate through one to twice a week for a 45 minute art session. We do a wide variety of materials including paint, printmaking, clay and assemblage. Having these new seats would make big difference in how we use our space.
