This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class consists of eighteen, amazing students . Most of them live in a low income community in Baltimore City . These students are full of energy and have a passion for learning . They come to school eager to learn . They have big hearts and will bring a smile to your face .They are hardworking, caring and selfless. They motivate me to be the best teacher that I can be .They make me enjoy teaching each and everyday!
My Project
Art is a way for students to express themselves and to be creative! The donations for this project will help support students with the necessary art supplies to create art projects beyond the classroom.The paint brushes,paint construction paper, chart paper and markers are all supplies that will help students express their creativity. The math and reading games will also provide students an opportunity to improve on their reading and math skills . These learning games will be an intervention to help improve on the necessary skills for the next grade level.
With these donations, students will be exposed to more art opportunities beyond the art classroom.
Students will be able to use these supplies for culminating projects, small group work, Stress Relieve, Positive Behavior Rewards, Reading Activities, Science Projects, Social Studies projects etc.
Art allows students to express themselves and with these donations, Art will reach the heart of all.
