Our school is nestled in the heart of Iowa and we are very lucky to have a fine arts program that is growing to support our student body of just over 1,000 students. With the addition of a new staff member, we have been able to double our program and the number of students that we can reach each year.
Our students are excited at the opportunity to explore the opportunities that Visual Arts has to offer and our hope is to provide them with the supplies they need to explore the process of creation.
Our funding for supplies has not matched out program's growth and our students are in need of a few basics to ensure the can experiment with mediums such as paint, clay, printmaking, and graphic design.
My Project
Were at it again. Our classroom rosters are filled with foundations students who are looking to explore painting and all it has to offer.
We have the brushes, now we need the palettes!
Help us complete our painting sets and give our students the supplies they need to succeed! Our last DonorsChoose.org project provided us the high-quality brushes that we needed to create watercolor and acrylic paintings. Now we need palettes to hold our paint and store it between classes. This will keep the waste down as we won't have to throw out unused paint at the end of each class. We can pop the lid on and it will be ready to use the next day! These palettes will keep the paint wet for up to five days, ensuring we can make it through any surprise snow days!
