Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and they are all eager to learn! They are hard-working and buzzing like bees with creativity. I want them to get the most they can out of school. They are curious about the world around them and love to express themselves in many different ways. My students have a range of abilities and interests. As their teacher, I need to address all of them to make sure they grow to their fullest potential!
My Project
Combining the arts into the curriculum is something I try to do as much as possible. It provides opportunities for students to be creative as well as giving access to students with different learning styles the ability to share what they have learned.
Children love to be creative and to stretch their imaginations.
Creativity is an important part of learning. Taking information and synthesizing it into a new way is critical for students to harness the thinking skills they will need.
The Steel AV cart will provide a centralized space to hold all the art supplies and maneuver the materials around the classroom as needed. And what is an Art Cart without any art supplies! Buttons and Pom Poms are just a starting point for my class to begin making amazing pieces of art.
