Help me give my students some virtual chances to keep literacy in their art time! Since we are currently teaching virtually, I am hoping to be able to use these books to video readings for my students!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
For many students, art (and art class) is an outlet for them to get away from the pressures of expectations with grades and home life. It allows them to learn in a hands-on and experimental way that they can express themselves, no matter their mood.
For my students, art is a way to express their feelings and moods.
They too love to explore the multitude of materials, artists, and techniques. It doesn't matter where they came from or where they are going in my art room, it matters that if they try their best then they will take away the most important lesson of all- the ability to express themselves in a positive way.
My Project
These books will hopefully bring my students some joy in these confusing times. By adding these books to our "virtual library" I will be able to share with all my students in virtual readings! I will also be able use these books and the virtual readings I create, to come up with fun art choices for my students to do at home!
Teaching literacy in art is especially important as we are teaching virtually and allows for the joy of reading to be experienced by all my students in their homes!
Help us bring some fun and art into our virtual art room!
