This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Art is therapeutic for many people, including or maybe even moreso for middle school students. In art, students often have to share supplies. On any given day, one pencil may be touched by twenty different students. This spreads germs , but it is also commonly known by teachers that students take better care of supplies when they have their own assigned to them. Therefore, I am asking for a pencil box for storage for each student. I am also requesting a paint pallette and brush cleaner with lid so that each child has his or her own paint storage with lid.

Art is an excellent and safe place for students to express themselves in unique ways.

Having supplies that are easily accessible and untouched by other students is a way to teach responsibility while keeping bacteria from other students at bay.

Students at our school did not have the opportunity to receive art instruction while we were on COVID 19 lockdown, so it is extra important that they get as much access to art with quality supplies as possible.
