This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The world is a rainbow with many different colors for me to see and use. Students at this age learn so many things from an art experience. But it is happening less and less unless you do something about it.
My students lived in the East New York section of N.Y.C.
This is a low income area. They attend a public school. The students enjoy creating art pieces. They love express the selves though art. But the students do not have a great amount of dealings with art supplies. What they use and deal with comes from what little the school provides.
My Project
These materials will be used during art and also in lessons that require art expressions. It will give them a chance to use their minds to create pieces they have envision. It will give an opportunity to express themselves in a positive way. They students will how to be more independent in their thinking. How to be responsible for the materials they use.
When you give to this project you are not only helping in the subject area but you are creating new artist who will think out side the box.
They will use their minds to create pieces that illustrates positive ideas and hopes.
