My students are a wonderful, energetic group of four and five-year-olds. We service students who are at the highest poverty levels and all qualify for free tuition and free lunch. Also, in order to qualify for our program, they must meet certain income guidelines. Despite these circumstances, these little ones come to school every single day ready and eager to learn. In Pre-K much time is spent on learning through play and socializing. Supporting these students today helps them to see their potential for the future and these students are our future. They are future leaders, innovators, teachers, and doctors.
These materials that are being asked for are common materials that we use throughout the year. At this point in the year, we are running low and need to replenish.
Many of the materials are arts and crafts related as preschool students learn through making and doing.
We create projects for every letter that we learn and also do many projects throughout the year either based off of themes or holidays. The beads and pipe cleaners will also support fine motor skills and will build up the strength for writing. The laminator will allow us to preserve these treasures so that students will have them to look back on years from now.
