My Students

My students are thoughtful, creative, and eager to learn! They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take risks in order to grow both personally and academically. They are so inspiring!

My Project

I'm teaching art remotely this year but I want my students to enjoy fresh air and sunshine as they learn and create.

Students will use nature print paper and tempera paints to explore their creativity as they observe the world outside of the classroom and away from the computer screen.

Andrea Slusarski's quote "A bad day outside is better than a good day inside, and being able to create for creativity's sake is really soothing."

says it all. Students learn better when they spend more time outdoors. It clears the mind and awakens the body.
