Help me give my students art supplies so they can prepare for the Nation History Day where they will use historical research, interpretation and creative expression to create a unique expression of history.
My students are hard working and are active creators in their learning. Our classroom is energic where you will find students taking an active role in their education. My students inspire me with their curiosity, creativity and imagination. In the classroom, we are constantly collaborating and creating an environment for acceptance and understanding. We celebrate diversity on a daily basis and look for ways to create a learning environment that appeals to all types of learners. We a rural community in the far northeast corner of Montana.
My Project
The art supplies requested will help my students to be successful in competing in National History Day. The National Contest is the final stage of a series of contests at local and state/affiliate levels. Students begin their journey by presenting their projects in classrooms, schools, and districts around the world. Students use creative art interpretation through documentary, exhibit, paper, performance and website creation.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve our students success in the competition, but more importantly, it will allow them the ability to artistically express themselves without limitations on needed art supplies.
The combination of art and history has been proven to enhance a student's critical thinking skills. Through this project, students will grow in their ability to recreate the past and think critically about how the past has impacted their future all through a variety of artistic expression.
