My 21 students come from various backgrounds and experiences outside of school. Of those 21 students, 2 are in speech, 3 are in the Gifted and Talented program, and for many of my students, English is their second language. My students love learning and are really excited about the real-world and all the new opportunities available to them.
In our class, we focus on building a community of inclusion and acceptance.
As a Title I school, many of my students come from broken homes and have gone through a lot. We focus on social-emotional learning as well as academic learning to ensure all students get what they need.
I have chosen the watercolor paper so that my students can paint and do art projects. In 3rd grade we do not have an art class that the students can go to. At our school we do not have art until 6th grade.
My students all love drawing and coloring.
We are trying to incorporate more art into the lessons to keep the students creative and learning.
I have chosen the washable paint and the aprons for my students to learn more about painting while keeping their clothes clean.
I have chosen the big roll of paper so my students may create mural like drawings and make timelines that relate to what we are learning.
