Students at our school will be doing virtual learning on chrome books for the rest of the school year. We don’t know what next year will look like either. Many students who have been waiting to get an art class are disappointed that they do not have access to the supplies and studio space. We have been exploring a lot of digital art platforms, but I would like to bring more variety to our virtual art curriculum.
My Project
Now that we have entered the world of virtual learning, teaching art looks way different. I would like to provide students with exciting new lessons and activities about art history, art movements, and artists’s lives.
These new art history resources will allow students to have fun, deepen their knowledge, and build community through discussion.
I am asking for general art history books, an activity book, and a digital book about Islamic art. A large portion of our school population is Muslim and we are currently acknowledging Ramadan. I would love to provide relevant and interesting materials during this time.
