My Students
My students come from very diverse backgrounds. I strive to help each student find their strengths. I would love to develop these strengths by exploring the history and geography of the world through art.

My Project
We will begin by reading stories about cavemen, ancient Egypt, and ancient Rome and then create our own versions of cave paintings, write our names in heiroglyphics and make a mosiac tile.
We will then move on to more recent art history including Renaissance Art (Leonardo DaVinci), Baroque Art (Rembrandt), Romantic Art (Turner), Impressionist Art (Monet), Post Impressionist Art (Van Gogh and Serat) and will finish with Abstract Art (Mondrian). After we learn about each artist and time period using books from our art history library, we will create our own masterpieces in the style of the artist and time period studied.
