Art & Games Against Anxiety!

Help me give my students art and games in the classroom to help them find positive activities to fight against anxiety.

My Project

We live in Alaska where it is very difficult to get sports equipment, games, and art supplies. With limited shopping, the prices are also very high. These items will help my students have more options during their recess times. It will also allow them to use the art supplies to have more artistic experiences we otherwise would not be able to have. Many students love to try art; which helps them be more excited to learn and accomplish new things.

My goals are to allow students to try new types of art and games.

Another goal I have is to have students learn to play games with one another. This group of students really struggles playing physical games with each other. They really only want to play computer games. Having more games in the classroom will allow them to try new games.

My students are special because they have a lot of anxiety and struggle with working together. I feel having more artistic opportunities and games will help them overcome some of their anxiety.
