My students need an E-Z cut kit, acrylic set, wallet portfolios, canvases, and other painting and printmaking supplies to make their art experience complete!
Remember how fun and exciting it was to enroll into your first art class? Now imagine not having painting and printmaking supplies. I want my students to experience painting and printmaking in my art class.
My students come from a small rural school that is centered around basketball.
Many of the students rarely travel much from home. My students haven't experienced much in the fine arts. For many my class is the first introduction of art. I want my students to be able to paint and do printmaking.
My Project
The E-Z cut kit, acrylic set, wallet portfolios, canvases, and other painting and printmaking materials will be used to create a completed painting project on a stretched canvas. The students will be taught how to properly get the canvas ready, use the paint, and seal the painting. The printmaking set will be used to create block prints.
This project will introduce my students to painting and printmaking.
My students have not been able to participate in activities like these. These activities have the potential to greatly influence my students. Many may find a hidden talent, or just learn to appreciate art.
