My Students

My students are attending a neighborhood school. It is a school of choice and a brand new A+ Arts Magnet school and is the only one in our small district. The students are very excited about the different arts components that we are offering here. The majority of the students are from low income neighborhoods and don't get a lot of opportunities outside of what we offer here at school. They deserve every thing I can give them to make connections to the great wide world and beyond.

My Project

These materials will help enrich the arts my students can use in the classroom everyday. I give my students opportunities to incorporate art into their day.

With the Lakeshore 30-Player Rhythm Set instruments students can make beats, rhythms and music to help show a math concept like multiplication facts or make a sound track for their favorite part of their story.

The tempera paints and watercolor brushes will also add to their art experience. Students will be able to artistically show what they learned in class by painting a picture about science facts learned, or their favorite part of a book they have read.
