Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach students with a variety of unique needs. My classroom is comprised with students with IEPs, students who are at risk and others who are typically developing.
My students are creative, spontaneous and worthy.
Preschool is often their first experience away from home. With that being said, I want to provide them with fun, hands-on learning experiences. My students love to use their hands to learn and explore the world. These new materials will allow them to do so!
The majority of my students come from low-income households and qualify for free and reduced lunch. My students do not have the means to use technology on a daily basis. I want to best prepare them for the future; technology is the future. I hope that by having these materials readily available for them, they will become more comfortable with technology and truly reap the benefits!
My Project
These art materials will be so wonderful for my students. My students LOVE the art center. Art allows them to express themselves in creative ways! Our artwork is hung at eye level so the students can observe their masterpieces all year long. They work hard on their projects and create their own work. These materials will allow for beautiful process art to be displayed in our classroom and around our school. Students will also bring their projects home to be shared with their families for years to come! These process art materials will be accessible and beneficial for years to come!
