Located in the heart of Chicago's Chinatown community, my school is full of the most awesome students! Other teachers will say this, too, but I teach the best students in the city. They are helpful, funny, kind, hardworking, and creative.
Many of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds and have not had much exposure to visual art, but this does not deter their enthusiasm for drawing, coloring, painting, and sculpting.
They love coming to the art room and exploring all the tools and materials - especially paint! If my students had their way, we'd paint every single class!
My Project
With 30 plus kids in my primary classes, my students and I need tools that will streamline the painting process. We need supplies that are easy to use, easy to cleanup, and fun!
My students need tempera cakes and paint daubers to make painting simple and stress-free.
Paint daubers are a great tool for small hands - the paint comes out in a smooth, controlled line, and they are easy to manipulate. Tempera cakes are similar to watercolors and less messy than liquid tempera. Both of these items will give my budding artists many opportunities to paint - which they love!
