Art Drying Racks, Please!
My students need three tabletop drying racks.
Stacking and staggering large sheets of freshly painted artwork all over the classroom floor, rug, and student desks is so very cumbersome and messy. Not only does the classroom get dirty, but the students' artwork stains each other, making a mess of their beautiful masterpieces.
My students are one-of-a-kind characters who let their creative personalities flow through art.
They are lovely second graders who reside in southern CA. Our school is located in a great neighborhood. Unfortunately, it does not qualify for very much state funding/specialized programs. Much of the classroom supplies are provided by the teachers, themselves.
Having enough art drying racks for 30 students will accommodate our impending increase in class size in the primary grades. We'll be able to work with "messier" art materials/supplies more frequently without the worry of not being able to set the completed artwork on top of each other or on other spaces in the classroom normally used for small-group instruction. These art racks are more for classroom organizational purposes, but when you have over two dozen large pieces of artwork spread throughout the room in places that could be better utilized than simply "drying areas", they will provide a great deal of convenience that will foster learning.
Please donate any amount - big or small - for these three art drying racks.
Having them will help the teacher be able to work with students in different areas of the classroom without having to work around wet artwork. Thank you from the bottom of all of our little second grade hearts!
