This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Currently there is no art program at our school. I would love to start an art club for the students to come join after school to learn about famous artists and to practice new art methods. This project would be open to grades 1-5 and there would be no class size limit, so all the students could have access to coming. We are a low income title 1 school and many students have experienced trauma, not many of them have access to art supplies. Studies have proven art is an excellent outlet.
