My Students
Art Club is an after school organization offered to students in the 4th through 12th grade. Art Club enables students to utilize their creative talents in a setting where they can communicate with peers with like interests.
Art provides an outlet for students to express themselves and Art Club provides a place for them to do that. These kids are often limited on the projects they can do during Art Club due to a lack of supplies that are dedicated just for them. Most supplies in the art room also double for regular classroom supplies for our small K-12 school.
My Project
The materials requested are supplies that our Art Club members have said they wished we had or wished we had more of. These items generally run out very quickly in the course of a school year and replacement supplies tend to be expensive after awhile. Having these items to dedicate exclusively for our Art Club students would boost their morale and increase the amount of projects they have the opportunity to do and try.
Our Art Club kids will be able to push the limits of their creativity with these additional supplies and that will enable them to become more well rounded artists. These supplies will give the kids a chance to experiment more with paint, marker, jewelry making and sculpture projects.
