Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are incredible middle schoolers who, like everyone, need to be surrounded by people who share a common interest with them. Our students come from a diverse background, and making each and every one of them feel like they have a place on campus is very important to me.
Out of all of our schools extra curricular engagements, we did not have art.
I have since started an art club, and we are building our supply cabinet.
Funding this project will help us reach more students on our campus to engage in school.
My Project
Help us get additional supplies for printmaking! Recently, a funded project generously gifted our students introductory art supplies when I had none. One of the things that was funded was carving tools for lithography.
Unfortunately we still need some basic supplies.
To use the carving tools that were generously gifted to us, we need printing blocks and ink, as well as some other basic supplies.
Our kids have been working very hard to fundraise for materials for art club. Unfortunately, since we are buying the fundraising materials out of pocket. Our profit margin is often very small.
Our art club students are wonderfully kind, creative, and ambitious. Your donation would support youth that all of us are very proud to know.
