Mrs. Mendoza from Chula Vista CA is requesting Art Supplies through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Art Class Exploration

My students need soft pastels and clay tools to explore new media in art class.

  • $901 goal

This project expired on October 18, 2018.

Hooray! This project is fully funded

My Students

My students are engaged, creative, and curious. They work hard on their academics and come to my classroom to express their creative side with visual arts. With the right lesson and proper tools, my students are completely involved in their artwork, often working quietly with intense focus. Many students tell me their favorite class is art class!

Our special school welcomes diversity and is home to many military families as well as students with special needs.

Teachers work hard to ensure that each child receives the best education that is differentiated to meet their needs. Our district prides itself on its thriving visual and performing arts program, but we require additional supplies to truly make our program a success for all learners.

My Project

Coming to art class is often times an opportunity for students to explore, be creative, and relieve stress. To effectively learn and explore art, students must be provided with a variety of tools and resources, combined with instruction to utilize them properly.

While we have high expectations for our students and rigorous National Core Art Standards, we are not always provided with the necessary art supplies to maximize student learning and engagement.

This project will introduce students to new media such as soft pastels and clay. Think of all the new ideas and projects that will become possible with the funding of this project!
