My Project

I enjoy using art when working with students either in a group setting or a one on one sessions. Art helps kids express themselves when they are shutting down and feeling sad, mad, frustrated and so many other feelings. Sometimes it is easier to draw, paint or write about what is happening in your life. Sometimes talking about it takes time and only happens when a child is explaining their art masterpiece. This school year alone, I have had 3 students experience the death of a parent and it was through art that these students were able to express their feelings.
