My Students

Our school proudly represents an international community that speaks many languages and represents many cultures. Our multicultural mosaic gives our school a global perspective with high expectations for academic success. The students are highly motivated; the families of these children expect a guarantee of success. To assure the children's academic success, it is vital to provide only the best resources possible.

Students can only achieve if they have the necessary tools to do so.

The families of our children have sacrificed much to be in this country and the children hope to fulfill their families' dreams for success. For that reason, we try to bring the best resources to our students in the hopes of realizing high expectations that will lay a foundation for future opportunities.

My Project

Scholastic Art magazine is a resource we can use year after year, with contemporary art techniques, lesson plans, art posters, references, and insight on artists and their ideas. Scholastic Art magazine supports my art curriculum and builds literacy skills. By providing my classes with Scholastic Art magazine, students can read up to date articles supported with colorful images that have a fresh take on art, whether it is an article on art history or about new up and coming artists! By incorporating this magazine into my curriculum students will be more engaged, and the reading materials will support their art literacy by staying current on art topics around the world . Access to this resource will help build many skills needed in other classes outside of art, including language arts! I especially love the art poster inserts that each issue comes with!
