Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach students with a variety of unique needs. My classroom is comprised of students with IEPs (Individualized Education Program) and students who are at risk.
My students are creative, fun, and curious.
Preschool is often their first experience away from home. With that being said, I want to provide them with fun, hands-on learning experiences. My students love to use their hands to learn and explore the world. These new materials will allow them to do so!
The majority of my students come from low-income households and qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. My students do not have the means to use technology on a daily basis. I want to best prepare them for the future. I hope that by having these materials readily available for them, they will become more comfortable and truly reap the benefits!
My Project
These materials will make a lasting impression on my students.
The art materials will be used with my current students and future students for years to come!
The watercolor set will allow for a unique spin on traditional painting. I have also requested special watercolor brushes that will be adored for years to come. Art is so special and at such a young age, the students love to experiment with all types of art.
The bingo dabbers will be great for expression as well as some mathematical concepts such as patterning and color identification. These materials will be shared for years to come!
