My school is a Title I school. Ninety percent of my students come from low-income families and several of my students are considered homeless. Even though their home life may be difficult, they come to school smiling and eager to learn.
They are resilient and persevere through the toughest of times.
They smile and work hard every day in all subject areas. They work together in groups and create lasting friendships. They are amazing and I am proud of their accomplishments.
My Project
With our VAPA art teachers stepping up and being substitutes in our classrooms, my students need art supplies in the classroom. I don't want my students to miss out on art so we need supplies to be creative. They will need a drying rack to place their masterpieces once they are complete.
My students enjoy art so much that watercolor paints and dot markers will help them create amazing pictures.
Multiple mediums such as beads, foam pieces, squeezy foam dots, and blocks will give them opportuniities to explore and design. Art gives many students the chance to shine and show off their best work.
