My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. The students are continuously faced with challenges at home so at school I want to provide them with the best opportunities I can.

The students in my room are constantly seeking new challenges.

They want to be able to complete new projects and solve different problems on their own. The students want to be challenged outside of their regular subjects and I want to be able to provide those opportunities for them.

My Project

The students in my classes have recently been learning solve the Rubik's cube. They have been successful solving the 3X3 and 2X2 on their own. They are now ready for a new challenge.

Students will be able to use their creativity and problem solving skills to create mosaics while solving the Rubiks cube in different patterns.

To begin students will follow patterns already created then work together by problem solving to create their own mosaic. The students will be able to use several cubes, up to 100, to do this! They are ready for the challenge and I can't wait to get them started!
