My Students

I have 38 wonderful preschoolers, ages 3-5, split between two sessions in the day. This year our returning students are excited to show our new preschoolers all there is to know about school! Most of our students spend two years together so we really become a classroom family.

My students take their play seriously in preschool because they understand that play is essential for their development!

My students are curious to know about the world around them and how things work! They love when we are presented with new investigation units about the world they live in and sharing what they already know. I am proud to teach a community of learners that support and encourage each other through this new adventure.

My Project

Providing students with sensory exploration encourages the development of fine motor skills that are essential for everyday tasks. Sensory play helps build language as they are beginning to socialize with new friends! It's amazing the challenges and goals the students set for each other through their play. To the eye of many, it seems that children are just at play; but really they are growing in problem solving skills that are essential for the real world.

Art teaches students to think openly and creatively.

Children who create art are able to creatively solve problems and can reflect on their work of art and what they learned. Art is also a form of expression and a part of many mindful activities we use within our curriculum. With the help of your support our students will be able to use their art supplies to create without limits! Our goal is to fill our classroom with their art! I would love for the children to be able to experience art in multiple ways.
