My Project

My students are special because they have shown exemplary perseverance and determination to overcome this difficult school year. COVID-19 had created many obstacles in these students' lives. One of the biggest impact is the way we operate in schools. The push to meet standards and attain a certain score in standardized testing because they are behind from online learning the past couple years was hard for these students.

Incorporating art and play into school is a necessary developmental step for these students.

Having these resources such as fidget toys and art materials would help stimulate their brain and help prevent burnout.

I really think that having a balance between work and play is beneficial for these students. If we want these students to succeed, we need to make sure that we are working with the whole well being of every student.
