Help me give my students the chance and opportunity to learn and grow with resources that will give them joy and love. Let's have fun at school. We are so happy to be back in-person!

My Students

Our students matter. Our students are readers and explorers. Their excitement to read engaging books is clear. They also love to make and create. Our students are artists. They are very active. We want to give our students opportunities to authentically share their learning. Our student population is diverse. Our population breakdown is 26.7% African American, 26.3% Hispanic/Latino, 30.8% White, and 11.5% two or more races. 63.4% of our students are economically disadvantaged. 12.4% of our students have disabilities. 26.1% of our students have limited English proficiency. Students in kindergarten and first grade learn half their day in English and half of their day in Spanish.

Our students are very active, intelligent, creative, and determined.

Each year, we will add another grade of dual language immersion (DLI) classes until there is at least one section of DLI within each grade level. Finally, we are a nationally recognized Welcoming School, and we intentionally teach ally behavior especially by supporting the LGBT community and individuals.

My Project

School is meant to be joyful filled with memories of projects, arts, and laughter. We are requesting to boost our art and crafts in the school library for all students to access. We also want to make recess fun so we are requesting sand castle creation tools. Finally, our students may need additional love and support and sometimes the right fidget is the correct step. Please help us support our students' growth and love of school. Every student deserves to find joy at school. When we give our students what they need, they leave joyfully and want to come back. Help us bring laughter back to our school and keep our students learning with love and fun! When we make the library a fun place, we show students that the library is where we can all go for knowledge and creation!
