Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Providing students with the learning environment that is suitable for their learning style is my number one priority. Luckily, I work at a school that is supportive and gives teachers exciting opportunities to try all things new in the best interest of their students. Over the past two years I have implemented flexible seating in my classroom. It has been a hit and allows for students to wiggle and move and remain focused on their work.
With the wear and tear of now 44 ten year olds, it has become time to start replacing certain items around my classroom.
My hope is to use the funding from this donors choose to replace yoga balls, hard plastic lap desks for floor workers, and add some new seating options such as mesh ball chairs and bar stools.
My Project
These seating replacements will allow for students to wiggle while they learn and meet their learning style needs. I have enjoyed implementing flexible seating in my classroom and with your help can continue to keep some of my favorite types of seats in my classroom! I have chosen to add mesh yoga ball seating as well as yoga ball replacements.
Options for seating allows for students to choose what type of seating works best for them in order to inspire success for learning in the classroom!
I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces when these new items come in!
