Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students decide whether they like art or not depending on their experience in school. I want to give them the opportunity to let their creativity flourish and not be limited by our school's budget. The purpose of our Art Show, and requesting materials like canvas panels, paints, and brushes, is to allow students to experience what it is like to collaborate, organize and then give the opportunity to be a part of an art gallery. As an artist myself, I believe that my students will grow more interest in art. Participating in this project where they get the chance to display their artwork and interact with an audience could boost their self-esteem and confidence.
My idea with this art gallery, is to allow the students to express themselves and portray their personality by painting abstract self-portraits.
This will allow the student to focus on themselves and give them the opportunity to realise who they are and who they want to become.
