My Project
Cultural representation and celebration is so important. I want to start a new unit where we read books from around the world to compare them to our own culture as well as understand the why behind other cultures. I hope to develop a classroom full of kids who celebrate diversity and different cultures.
My students love to learn about geography, what better way than to also teach them about the people that live there.
American education isn't always inclusive of other cultures and its important that we understand and celebrate the fact that we are different. As we learn about these different cultures we will also track where we are talking about on the map each time we start a new book!
