My Students
With summer winding down, we can already sense our students thirst for greatness. They’ll return excited to become the best versions of themselves, and the teachers are already preparing to facilitate this growth in them.
No matter what the summer had in store for them, our students are quick to rise to an academic challenge.
They’ve been rising for years. Coming from the 60th percentile, they’ve made it all the way to over 90% passing state mandated math tests! This year they’re all bound to reach the stars.
My Project
Argument driven inquiry is a student centered teaching strategy the puts students in charge of their own learning. In this strategy, students are given a problem for which they are required to design and implement an experiment to solve it. The whole time they’re going through this process they will be recording their learning on whiteboards per group.
The easels will not only support students’ boards but also their learning.
They will use the easels to keep their board upright and presentations of their learning flowing. As students present, another group of students will further their learning by asking questions and taking notes over the similarities between their boards.
The easels will help to keep the time centered in the learning instead of wasted on balancing the board. The erasers will also help them to avoid making a mess while editing their work.
